Research question: How can AB InBev implement Concentrated Solar Power for generating process heat used in production?

What?

What Technology? (See video for suggestions). What Context?
What are the relevant technical issues/specifications for this technology?

Small scale concentrated solar power in a parabolic trough layout, used for generating process heat for industry.

In our case this will be aimed at AB InBev, the biggest brewery in the world.

Technical issues and challenges are mostly related to geography and scalability. Energy storage is also a challenge

Why?

Why choose this question? Why interested? What do you already know?
What do you not know and want to find out?
Your goal: which result do you expect? Think as an Industrial Engineer!

It is an upcoming technology that reduces carbon emissions for generating process heat. It also has a short time for ROI and a modular formfactor.

It is currently unknown to us if CSP is a viable option for the temperature ranges and locations that AB InBev uses.

We expect to present chances for AB InBev to apply this technology and want to find out where it would be applicable.

Where?

Where are you going to find answers: the sources!
Companies, books, courses, experts?

IRENA, EU, papers, expert consults, Heliogen, Aztec, SunCom, Heineken

When + Who?

What activities this week? Who will do what? When? Time required?
Create a plan!

-Searching about the History of CSP -How does CSP exactly work

-What are the advantages and disadvantages

-How companies comparable to AB InBev use this system

-How can AB Inbev use CSP in the future.

How to pitch?

How to present your results? Demo? Video?
How to use the time frame? Only 20 min. ....

It will be presented in a PowerPoint presentation format.

5 min: How does CSP work

5 min: What is the current state about CSP (Why do companies use it)

5 min: Future for AB Inbev when they use CSP

How to blog?

What to put in blog (content)? Structure of blog? How/when to add
content during this week

We will document our research and key findings in a blog as we work on this subject. At the end of the day one person will check if the blog is up to date and add information if needed.
